Self Defense - Clinch Control and Weapon Considerations:
A physically engaging course that teaches how to use clinch techniques to control an attacker and to avoid damage from both empty hand strikes as well as edge weapons. During this course we also give an introduction to conceal weapon use during a physical altercation.
Course Description:
Most self-defense systems are generally developed by instructors that base their system off training from martial arts or a combat sports background. While these instructors are usually highly trained and qualified, the transition to training students looking for self-defense, rather than an attacking combat sport, is generally not a successful one. At Proletarian Training Group, we use a team of instructors, trained in defensive tactics, to develop a system that is focused on strikes, joint manipulation, pressure points, blocks, counter grappling, and other techniques. The use of this system allows you to disengage from the attack to flee or transition to a firearm, should the situation justify such. Techniques will be taught and practiced with your instructor and other students in a controlled environment. This is not a large classroom, cardio focused class. We have a ratio of no more than 6 students per instructor to provide the most hands on instruction with our students. This course is physical in nature. The level of exertion is completely dictated by the student. This course is for people of any ability level or age, from teens to active seniors. Consult your physician before engaging in any physical activity.
Please note that this self defense class is an independent courses of instruction that has no prerequisite. You may take this class at any time, even if you have not taken any other self defense courses.
In this course we cover techniques to control an attacker by utilizing clinch control, a fighting technique in which you control your opponents upper body to limit damage taken.
